Germany P2 Final: Calvo-Fernández Take Revenge as Coello-Tapia Win Again
The Germany P2 final day in Düsseldorf delivered two straight-sets results: teenage pair Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo beat Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero 6-3, 6-0, and Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia beat Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-2, 7-6 for their 11th title of 2026.
The Germany P2 final day in Düsseldorf ended with two clear results on Sunday, October 11. Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo beat Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero 6-3, 6-0, and Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia beat Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-2, 7-6 at the Castello Düsseldorf.
It was a repeat, in reverse, of a recent storyline in the women's draw — and a repeat, with the same winners, in the men's draw.
Women's final: revenge for the Paris Major
Fourth seeds Fernández and Calvo needed 1 hour 8 minutes to win the women's final.
- Score: 6-3, 6-0 over third seeds Sánchez and Ustero
- Key set: a 6-0 second set closed out a one-sided final
- Context: the same pairs met in the Paris Major final, which Sánchez and Ustero won 6-2, 6-0
Reports from the final pointed to the backhand-side duel as decisive. Calvo was credited with 20 winners and six unforced errors, compared with six winners and seven errors for Sánchez. Sánchez and Ustero also created break chances in the first set without converting them, and the match ran away from them after that.
The win is the pair's second title together, after their London P1 title, and their first P2 title. Aged 20 and 18, they have now reached finals in all three Premier Padel categories — Major, P1 and P2.
It came a day after a semi-final that lasted more than three hours against second seeds Paula Josemaría and Bea González, which Fernández and Calvo won in three sets. Sánchez and Ustero reached the final by beating top seeds Delfina Brea and Gemma Triay in three sets in the other semi-final.
For Sánchez and Ustero, the loss ends a run of two straight titles. It also delays Sánchez's bid to draw level with the 58 career titles credited to Gemma Triay and Ale Salazar in reporting on the final.

Men's final: a third straight title for Coello and Tapia
Top seeds Coello and Tapia won the men's final in 1 hour 23 minutes.
- Score: 6-2, 7-6 over fourth seeds Stupaczuk and Sanz
- Start: Stupaczuk and Sanz broke early and led 2-0, before Coello and Tapia won six games in a row to take the first set
- Second set: Stupaczuk and Sanz pushed it to a tie-break and had a chance to force a third set, before the top seeds closed it out
The title is Coello and Tapia's third in a row — after the Paris Major and Rotterdam P2 — and their 11th title of 2026. It is also their first title in Germany, and they did not drop a set all week in Düsseldorf.
Stupaczuk and Sanz reached the final by beating second seeds Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto in the semi-finals for the second week in a row, after also beating Martín Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro earlier in the draw. This was their third final in three weeks, and their third defeat in a final in that run.
Coello and Tapia beat Juan Lebrón and Leandro Augsburger in the other semi-final.
